Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of therapy that uses gentle pressure on specific points along your feet and your hands, to help you feel better. The theory is that this eases stress, and that helps your body work better. It’s also known as zone therapy. While foot reflexology is better-known, hand reflexology uses points on the hand, which are far more accessible and arguably more useful, as some may struggle to access the relative points on the feet. On each hand, there are reflex points that correspond to various parts of the body. Reflexology triggers relaxation, resulting in reduced levels of stress and tension. This practice is also helpful in increasing blood flow and circulation throughout the body. While reflexology should not be used as a replacement for medical therapy, it can nicely complement your ongoing medical treatments.
